How can we persist the email-notification relationship? It gets lost as we import a package into Kx Control. Emails can be persisted and loaded back into DS_EMAIL_ADDRESSES but the information about a notification using which emails does get lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Example:
1) We have defined a custom alert in one of our Kx packages.
2) An email is assigned to the corresponding email notification using Email Recipients Manager dashboard.
When the package is deployed again, the email assigned to a notification is lost. How can these be persisted?
Is there a place where this information is kept within Kx which we can get access to?
DS_EMAIL_ADDRESSES stores the emails but not what email has been assigned to a notification.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks,
CJ

Thanks Leah,
An interim solution to this is to keep alert entities into a separate package as they are are not frequently updated. But, I need to make sure that the link is persisted during system or kx restarts as well.

Hi cj,
You should only need to re-import your separate package if you do an upgrade of Platform.
If you are simply restarting the system, that shouldn't impact the current version of entities across the application.
To make sure, you can run a test by stopping and restarting the application and reviewing the state.
Hope this helps,
David
