Hi we currently are using KX insights on on-demand through AWS. It seems to me that KX Developer IDE requires the q binary with a license locally. I am hoping to run queries through the cloud instance port but locally on KX developer. What would be a good way to set KX developer up locally in this case?

Hello @cyhuang,
Reverting with feedback provided by one of our engineers:
-To run Developer, you need q on your local machine.
-The only alternative if you wanted to run it from AWS would be to install Developer on the remote instance and open a firewall rule to the HTTP port for Developer. Then, you could go to your browser at the IP of the instance at the given port and access it.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Leah
