Hello Everyone,
I would like to ask a question about monitoring function on dashboard.
Here is the background:
Web page "Server Details" updates every 30 seconds and working perfectly just as what has been set up in DM_SYSMON_CONFIG. However, it seems that "Process details" update every 5 min: given every two dots on "CPU & MEM usage chart" have a space of 5 mins.
I would like to know , how to make CPU usage chart updates more frequently as "server details" does?
thank you and best,

BTW, i tried to edit the chart in dashboard-editor, making polling frequency every 30 sec but it doesn't help.

Hi leguan,
Thanks for your question!
What version of the Platform are you using?
4.6 has 30 second CPU and memory charts in the Server Health tab (https://code.kx.com/platform/monitoring/server-health/#process-cpumemory)
Earlier versions will require a change in the underlying analytic being called to adjust the bucket.
Thanks,
Laura

Hello Laura,
The original underlying analytic has a bucket size of 300 seconds. I changed that to 60 and pushed the analytic to all RDB,HDB instances, waited for few minutes, but the cpu & mem chart in "process details" pages still updates every 5 mins. Should i restart Deamon service to make the change effective?
thank you!

Hi leguan,
You might need to also push the updated analytic to the monitoring GW process. Can you try that and let me know if that changes the update frequency?
Thanks!
