Hello,

For licensed customers it is available here: http://kxdownloads.com/

I'm unaware of any non-commercial versions of kdb+ tick available.

Regards,

Fintan.

Wow, that was quick, Fintan. So you are telling me kdb+tick +taq +toware not for developers? That kinda decreases the value of the kdb+dev edition. How much is the license for the +tick, +taq, +tow?On Apr 20, 9:52 am, "Fintan Quill" wrote:> Hello,>> For licensed customers it is available here:http://kxdownloads.com/>> I'm unaware of any non-commercial versions of kdb+ tick available.>> Regards,>> Fintan.>> On Sun, Apr 20, 2008 at 11:42 AM, Hehe wrote:>> > I downloaded the kdb+ 32bit developer edition. kdb+tick, kdb+taq and kdb+tow are commercial products, and are sold
with commercial licences for the 64bit version of kdb+
sales@kx.com can give you more information if you're interested

they're not going to do you a whole lot of good unless you're afinancial services company with subscriptions to stock marketdata--tick is for realtime data as streamed from reuters, bloomberg, wombat, etc., taq is for NYSE overnight trade and quote files, and towis for replaying tick records for backtesting. On Sun, Apr 20, 2008 at 12:12 PM, Hehe wrote:>> Wow, that was quick, Fintan. True, however, it is possible to write an adapter to get data from asecond tier data vendor such as opentick. Streambase has an opentickadapter as its inputs. I am also evaluating their products. Howeverso far their product has bugs even in install scripts.I thought the whole point is that kdb+ is worthless without the tickpackage at the minimum. What's the point of having a uber fast columnbased database without the ticker plant function and in memory RDBportion at the minimum? The point I want to make it across: look, banks and investment institutions are already your customers if theywanted it anyways. I thought that KX is trying to branch into noninstitutional users. On Apr 20, 7:01 pm, "Aaron Davies" wrote:> they're not going to do you a whole lot of good unless you're a> financial services company with subscriptions to stock market> data--tick is for realtime data as streamed from reuters, bloomberg,> wombat, etc., taq is for NYSE overnight trade and quote files, and tow> is for replaying tick records for backtesting.>>>> On Sun, Apr 20, 2008 at 12:12 PM, Hehe wrote:>> > Wow, that was quick, Fintan.
