kdb+ and Big Data in Pharma, NYC Dec 7th

Hello all,

The Kx User Forum and Meetup in New York City is just a week a way, and we are hoping to see you there. 

Following the presentations you are invited to a cocktail party nearby at the Léa Wine Bar where two copies of Jeffry Borror's new book, q For Mortals Version 3: An Introduction to q Programming, will be given away in a drawing.

6:00 pm   doors open, light refreshments
6:30 pm   welcome and speaker introduction by new Kx Chief Operating Officer Mark Sykes
6:45 pm   "New business uses for kdb+ outside of finance," by Sayee Natarajan, Director of Systems Development at Purdue Pharma.
7:00 pm   "Beyond Traditional Data mining," by Nataraj Dasgupta who is part of the Data Science group at Purdue. 
7:15 pm   "Applying algorithmic trading techniques to Big Data in Pharma," Ed Bierly who is part of the Data Science group at Purdue.
7:30 pm   "Using kdb+ across the Enterprise," by Larry Pickett, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Purdue.
8:00 pm   Cocktail party at Léa Wine Bar near Grand Central Station with a drawing for Jeffry Borror's q For Mortals Version 3: An Introduction to q Programming.
